Casto Technical Services Light Commercial Installation Technician - HVAC in Charleston, West Virginia

Casto Technical Services is a locally owned and operated, family business with over 50 years of experience serving building owners and operators.

  • We are looking for candidates who want a challenging career in the HVAC industry including Service, BAS controls, Energy Services, and Mechanical trades.

  • We offer our technicians the convenience of dispatching from their homes with an assigned company van. Valid Driver's License is required.

    Light Commercial Installation Technician – HVAC

    Requirements

  • 3 years’ experience in the installation of Package units up to 25-ton, residential furnaces, a/c and heat pump units, water source heat pumps

  • Experienced with brazing, evacuations, and proper refrigerant handling techniques

  • Ability to work with A/C electrical voltages up to 3 phase 480, to low voltage unitary controls

  • Ability to work throughout WV with overnight travel as needed

  • Ability to perform light maintenance items such as cleaning coils, changing filters, and assessing the overall performance of HVAC equipment listed above

  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment listed above, or desire to learn

  • Willingness to be or become a master craftsman of the trade and have complete ownership of tasks assigned

    Qualifications

  • HVAC training or schooling & at least 3 years of experience working in HVAC Mechanical Contracting

  • Knowledge & experience in Ductwork Installation

  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record

  • HVAC, Refrigeration, and/or Plumbers License preferred.

  • May work outdoors, in mechanical/equipment rooms & possible extreme weather conditions

  • Provide responsive, professional, and diplomatic customer service.

  • Ability to read blueprints, submittals and equipment IOMs to ensure proper installation to meet job specifications and code compliance

    Certifications

  • Valid Driver's License

  • EPA Certification

    Preferred Licenses: HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, Electrical, Plumbers, or Gas Installer
