Serco Systems Administrator - NIWC Atlantic Lab Support - Charleston, SC in Charleston, South Carolina

Position Description

Are you a Systems Administrator looking for an opportunity to make an impact every day? Serco has a place for you! Join our team as a Systems Administrator in support of our AT/FP GSC program in Charleston, South Carolina.

As the AT/FP GSC Systems Administrator at the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic Test Lab in Charleston, South Carolina, you will support the Commander Navy Installations Command (CNIC) N3S Public Safety Systems Ashore Programs and their mission is to design, procure, integrate, install, and sustain the systems/equipment hardware, associated firmware, and software required to provide the ability to protect mission-critical assets and personnel from natural disasters, acts of terrorism and other human-caused disasters.

The AT/FP Ashore Sustainment Program is executed by the CNIC N3S AT/FP Ashore Program Management Office (PMO), NAVFAC Expeditionary Warfare Center (EXWC), and CNIC Regional Program Managers (RPMs). The primary goal of the CNIC AT/FP Ashore Sustainment Program is to provide both preventive and corrective maintenance services to Navy installations as required to sustain AT/FP Ashore Program systems in accordance with their operational requirements.

In this role, you will:

  • Be responsible for setting up and maintaining a system or specific components of a system (e.g. installing, configuring, and updating hardware and software; establishing and managing user accounts; overseeing or conducting backup and recovery tasks; implementing operational and technical security controls; and adhering to organizational security policies and procedures)

  • Provide critical preventive and corrective maintenance, information assurance, asset management, technical systems updates, service call resolution, and configuration management for C4I systems worldwide

  • Provide Operation and Maintenance support including patch management/testing, STIG implementation and mitigation, information assurance/security, anti-virus, and data backup solutions

  • Provide system administration and engineering support for Windows 10 and Windows Server 2016/2019

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A high school diploma/GED with 5+ years' of experience in the field or in a related area

  • An active DoD Secret clearance

  • An active DoD IAT Level II compliant certification

  • Strong understanding of current Microsoft supported Windows operating systems

  • Experience in the administration of Window’s Active Directory domain management to include Group Policy Object management, VMware ESXi, data base solutions such as Microsoft SQL and/or Oracle SQL database, and data backup solutions such as Retrospect, BackupExec, and Macrium Reflect

  • Experience with the implementation of vulnerability remediation and STIG configurations for system hardening.

  • Ability to create Standard Operating Procedure documentation for designs and implementation strategies of new hardware and software deployments

  • Ability to produce system specifications, design requirements, test evaluation planning documents, and technical publications and reports

  • Familiarity with DoD networking and security accreditation requirements

  • Ability to support project at client sites where working conditions may vary

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time as needed

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • McAfee HBSS, ACAS, SCAP, STIGs, VRAM, eMASS, and DoD RMF.

  • Experience with Navy Electronic Security Systems (NESS)

  • The following certifications:

  • Windows Operating System and Windows Server

  • CCNA

  • VMWare
