Predicate Logic is looking for a motivatedEngineering Technician VIto join our team inCharleston, SC.

Predicate Logic's employees routinely receive many accolades and awards from its customers. The corporate headquarters is in San Diego, California. Predicate Logic also has offices in Chesapeake, Virginia, specializing in communications engineering, training, and Cybersecurity, and in Charleston, South Carolina, supporting the Navy and Marine Corps programs through Naval Information Warfare Center Charleston.

SECURITY CLEARANCE:

  • Applicant must be eligible for a Department of Defense (DoD) personnel security clearance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare designs and specifications for various complex equipment or systems (e.g., a heating system in an office building, or new electronic components such as solid-state devices for instrumentation equipment).
  • Plan approach to solve design problems.
  • Recommends new design techniques.
  • Resolve design problems with contract personnel and assures compatibility of design with other parts of the system.
  • Design and coordinate test set-ups and experiments to prove or disprove the feasibility of preliminary design, uses untried and untested measurement techniques, and improves the performance of the equipment.
  • Advise equipment users on redesign to solve unique operational deficiencies.
  • Plan approach and conduct various experiments to develop equipment or systems characterized by (a) difficult performance requirements because of conflicting attributes such as versatility, size, and ease of operation; or (b) unusual combination of techniques or components.
  • Arrange for fabrication of pilot models and determines test procedures and design of special test equipment.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Twelve (12) years of experience with degree/formal training or fourteen (14) years of experience with HS/GED of practical experience to include: design, preparation and modification of engineering documents, and drawings.

EDUCATION:

  • Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology, Math, or Science; Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications; or four-year electronics apprentice program; or High School diploma or GED.
  • Cyber Security Work Force (CSWF) Certification (CompTia Security Plus CE or higher-level certification).
