Base rate: $19.03/hour, commensurate with qualifications and experience

Summary: Geauga County Job and Family Services is seeking a dynamic individual to join our Administrative team. He or she must be experienced in performing a full range of standard clerical work, mail and phone procedures, transcribing, word processing, data entry functions and spreadsheets. 

This position assists the Administrative staff in performing administrative tasks and major work duties and serves as liaison between the Administrator and other interested parties (e.g., staff members, the public, clients, vendors, agencies). This position also provides clerical support to the agency by maintaining accurate records, gathering, collating and summarizing data, constructing reports, transcribing information from recordings, preparing meeting agenda and summaries, maintaining and updating computer files, assisting with phones and front desk operations, and processing payments.

Knowledge of computer operations, office practices and procedures, administrative practices, and public relations issues is a must. The successful candidate has strong organizational skills, excellent communication and public speaking skills, the ability to prioritize assignments, handle/resolve problems, and prepare and conduct presentations. 

Requirements: - 2+ year(s) of technical training in office administration/secretarial science; or 2+ year(s) experience in performing administrative and clerical tasks utilizing computer software programs, technical writing, word processing, administrative office practices and procedures, and business mathematics - Valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and good driving record - Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and FBI/BCI&I background checks Geauga County Job and Family Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
