ManTech Travel Coordinator in Chantilly, Virginia

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Travel Coordinator to join our team in Chantilly, VA.

This role will support the State Department’s Service Delivery and Outreach (SDO) Division within the Office of Consular Systems and Technology. The purpose of our mission is to provide training, deployment, and communication services to all domestic and overseas consular operations, including passport agencies and visa centers. SDO is responsible for cross-cutting functions that have an enterprise-wide impact.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide and develop travel plans and programs for all contract employees.

  • Organize cost effective domestic and international travel itineraries, lodgings, and car rentals.

  • Communicate pertinent information to employees and resolves any scheduling issues.

  • Work with finance and accounting department to ensure that travel arrangements remain within budget and assist with visas, and other travel planning documents.

  • Develop reports and databases.

  • Track and maintain the location of records utilizing a personal computer-based tracking system to include: scanning bar coded boxes and their locations, updating tracking systems as required, backing up databases on a daily basis, archiving records, ship and receive records, coordinating the pickup, storage, and delivery of records, monitoring the movement of records through all tasks from initial receipt through final destruction or archiving, performing records searches as requested by clients, maintaining logs on the receipt and shipment of records, destroying and archiving documents, and preparing periodic inventories of records.

  • Prioritize various tasks, interpret specific instructions, and apply creative problem-solving techniques in a variety of situations.

  • Work normally requires lifting boxes of medium weight throughout the day. Commensurate experience and education.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have 5 years of experience in travel coordination, scheduling, planning or other relevant experience.

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Must be able to employ initiative, sound judgment, effective decision-making.

  • Must have experience in Customer Service

  • Must have strong attention to detail.

  • Experience using Microsoft 365 productivity tools.

  • Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working at a travel or trip coordinator for a government contracting organization strongly preferred.

  • Prior experience supporting both CONUS and OCONUS travel planning, scheduling and coordination strongly preferred.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance.

  • A current and active Secret clearance strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in stationary position for up to 50% of the time.

  • Must be able to deliver clear and effective communication both verbally and non-verbally to deliver updates; briefings; or interface with co-workers; leadership as well as customer.

  • Must be able to work in an office environment and be able to freely move within this space to utilize office equipment as well as interface with co-workers and customer.

  • Must be able to effectively use IT peripherals such as laptop, desktop, printer, fax machine, etc.

  • Must be able to deliver presentations as needed.

  • Must be able to review; decipher and understand program manuals; contractual briefs; proposals; etc.

The projected compensation range for this position is $39,700-$65,300. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
