SAIC Systems Engineer in CHANTILLY, Virginia

Description

SAIC has an immediate opening for a Systems Engineer who has an Electrical Engineering background. You will develop an in-depth understanding of the technical objectives within an operational environment. To be successful, you need to have excellent written and oral communication skills, and be an effective communicator at all levels of the project team. You will also be expected to keep current with the development program's progress, and identify potential areas of concern about schedule and technical expectations. In this role, you will:

  • Analyze and assess various RF system's performance

  • Dissect systems/components to determine functionality, identify the parameters for a viable counter-solution, and design/develop alternatives

  • Perform problem-solving to address complex technical challenges and to develop innovative solutions

  • Maintain operational systems with DevOps model for live systems O&M

  • Architect network comms

Qualifications

  • Must currently hold a TS/SCI with Polygraph

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering and 9 years of experience

  • Experience in the design and development of new components through modern system engineering processes

  • Understanding of RF systems

  • Experience architecting network comms and familiarity with network design best practices

  • Excellent understanding of signal structures and multiplexing technologies

  • Experience with a variety of long and short-haul networking equipment and technologies

  • Excellent understanding of signal structures and multiplexing technologies

  • Excellent understanding of layer two and layer three protocols
