Title:

Software Developer

KBR is seeking a highly qualified Software Developer to provide support for the NRO Mission Operations Directorate (MOD). MOD o perates, maintains, and reports the status of intelligence satellites and their associated ground systems, provides defensive space control and space protection, monitors satellite flight safety, and provides space situational awareness. This effort includes support to innovation labs developing new tools, models, and algorithms to operate and exploit satellite space and ground systems.

As a Software Developer, you have the expertise and experience in machine learning and the rapid development of SIGINT and GEOINT tools algorithms and prototype capabilities to support quick-response R&D. Skills include algorithmic development, including the design, analysis, implementation, optimization, profiling and experimental evaluation of computer algorithms, bridging the gap between algorithmic theory and operational capabilities.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of expertise and experience and experience in machine learning and the rapid development of SIGINT and GEOINT tools, algorithms and prototype capabilities to support quick-response R&D

  • Ability to design and integrate algorithms, including the design, analysis, implementation, optimization, profiling and experimental evaluation

  • Ability to bridge gaps between algorithmic theory and operational capabilities

  • Ability to deliver MOD lab innovations and mission operations advanced support

  • Active TS/SCI with CI polygraph

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related quantitative science field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in engineering or related quantitative science field

  • Experience leading teams resulting in successful verification and test strategies/solutions for complex programs

  • Experience with cloud development processes

  • Experience with industry system engineering practices

  • S trong interpersonal skills in order to influence, collaborate and work effectively with all levels of internal and external leadership

  • Knowledge of NRO Mission Operations Directorate

Security Clearance Requirement: Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph

Basic Compensation: $114,600 - $171,900

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
