Chenega Corporation Personnel Security Administrator II in Chantilly, Virginia

Summary

The Personnel Security Administrator II will provide administrative and clerical support to the Chenega SSBU Security Department headquartered in Chantilly, VA. This position requires a current Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret. This is a hybrid position in office two days per week in Chantilly, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Industrial Security Manager, Facility Security Officer, and Personnel Security Specialists with reviewing of security investigative paperwork for accuracy.

  • Process new and existing employees for security clearances and public trust positions.

  • Schedule fingerprint appointments; take fingerprints using inhouse live scan equipment.

  • Assist with security education and awareness training of cleared employees to include initial, annual refresher, special security briefings and debriefings, tracking of certificates of completion.

  • Perform visitor control duties to include database entry; creation; control and issuance of all company badges.

  • Assist with physical security inspections (perimeter controls) within facility; conduct end of day checks; main contact on after-hours call list with alarm company.

  • Routinely perform checks in DISS (Defense Information System for Security) to provide status to Hiring Managers and Human Resources on security clearance status.

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment; handle stressful situations and delegate tasks

  • Provide coordinated communications with the customer and other on-site contractors regarding security operations.

  • Prepare status reports and submit them to the Government clients.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED and 1-3 years of related administrative experience.

  • U.S. Citizen

  • Valid state driver’s license

  • Speak, understand, read, and write the English language fluently.

  • Secret security clearance granted by the Defense Security Service pursuant to the requirements of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and the NISP Operating Manual (NISPOM) prior to starting work.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Preferred experience with e-QIP, SWFT and JPAS/DISS.

  • Preferred three (3) years of experience in an Industrial Security role.

  • Preferred knowledge of personnel security administration requirements and OPM clearance procedures.

  • Preferred knowledge of the DoD National Security Industrial Security Program Operating Manual, February 2006, Change 2, May 18, 2016.

  • Knowledge of current issues, trends, laws, regulations, and technologies.

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work.

  • Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment.

  • Ability to use a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook.
