Description

Assertive Professionalsis seeking aNetwork Engineer with Po/ygraph supporting ourNational Security Customer in Chantilly, VA.

This is a FUNDEDandIMMEDIATEopening!

Annual base compensation is$162,0000with either a$10,000sign-on bonus or reimbursable relocation, plus an annual compliance bonus up to$1,200.

Responsibilities Include:

Perform moderately complex network designs; performing upgrades to limited segments of the network and performing routine network operations and maintenance (O&M). Perform routine to moderately complex network upgrades. Review user requests for upgrades or additions to the network to assess impact on network performance and provides advice and guidance on the most practical technical approach to meeting user requirements. Plan upgrades to existing network configurations, using knowledge of the performance characteristics of the systems being upgraded and the specifications for network interfaces to insure effective integration and optimal network performance. Utilize network analysis tools to identify performance problems in the network.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph

  • Bachelor's Degree (A Master's degree in a relevant field will meet the educational requirement in the event a Bachelor's Degree is not in a relevant field.

  • Additional equivalent experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree to meet the educational requirement. Equivalent experience for a Bachelor's Degree is 4 years working experience in a relevant field in the respective discipline. Consequently, the Senior Skill Level shall require 12+ years of relevant experience if experience is referenced in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree.

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Ethernet and IP LAN design, configuration, and maintenance.

  • SONET-Based WAN design, configuration, and maintenance.

  • Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) design, configuration, and maintenance.

  • Microsoft Windows desktop and server design, configuration, and maintenance in a secure IT environment including one or more of Windows 7, Windows I 0, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2016

  • Designing and operating Microsoft Active Directory in a secure and distributed IT environment supporting clients and servers such as Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2016

  • Macintosh devices design, configuration, and maintenance in a secure IT environment.

  • Linux desktops, servers, and other devices design, configuration, and maintenance in a secure IT environment.

  • Configuration and operation of Enterprise storage across network (SAN) solutions (e.g. HPE 3PAR, NetApp, EMC)

  • Server virtualization solution design, configuration, and maintenance using software such as VMWare vSphere, Windows Hyper-V, or equivalent.

  • VOIP solution design, configuration, and maintenance with Cisco, Polycom, or equivalent solutions.

  • VTC solution design, configuration, and maintenance with Cisco, Polycom, or equivalent solutions.

  • Configuration and main enhance of COMSEC (NSA GOTS/Type-1) systems.

  • Installation and maintenance of the preceding technologies at multiple distributed locations.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Experience with Enterprise level Cisco network devices.

  • Experience with Enterprise level Cisco VOIP devices.

  • Experience with Enterprise level Cisco VTC devices.

  • Experience with VMWare vSphere, vCenter, and other enterprise class VMWare solutions.
