SAIC Ground Systems Hardware Engineer in CHANTILLY, Virginia

Description

SAIC is seeking a Ground Systems Hardware Engineer to support a System Program Office (SPO). This program office procures satellite vehicles with associated ground segments. The ground segment consists of ground command and control (C2) software and hardware and includes Automated Data Processing Equipment (ADPE) and networks.

The position will be located in Chantilly, VA and requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph.

In this role, you will perform the following:

  • Provide direct support for major program acquisitions and their related O&M contract.

  • Provide primary support to the development branch and the procurement of ground RF hardware and antenna systems.

  • Leverage understanding of full life cycle system support from procurement to O&M, including requirements analysis, requirements tracking, system design and development through system test, delivery, installation, and sell-off.

  • Provide oversight and guidance in system development, testing, analysis, and requirements verification related to the procurement of these ground RF and antenna subsystem.

Qualifications

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and 9 years or more experience; Masters and 7 years or more experience; PhD or JD and4 years or more experience.

  • Active TS/SCI with Poly clearance

  • Skills/Certs desired: DOORS, CSEP, PMP

  • Familiarity with space systems ground segment acquisitions and related Operations & Maintenance (O&M) of those systems and their ground sites

  • Familiarity of ground command and control (C2) software and hardware
