Overview

FTI is looking for a Front End Software Developer to join our growting team. Candidates must be in or willing to relocate to the DC Metro area or Chantilly, VA. There is some allowance for remote work, but there is a requirement for candiates to report on-site as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, document, test, and debug new and existing software systems and/or applications (cloud and/or in-house).

  • Serve as technical expert on development projects.

  • Participate in full development life cycle including requirements analysis and design.

  • Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.

  • Support, maintain, and document software functionality.

  • Identify and evaluate new technologies for implementation.

  • Analyze code to find causes of errors and revise programs as needed.

  • Participate in software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirements.

  • Consult with end user to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs to meet needs.

Education/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or similar field of study.

  • 5+ years of Front End development experience.

  • Experience with Front-End web development, including JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, SCSS, or HTML.

  • Experience with the Vue.js framework.

  • Experience with Agile development, including SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban.

  • Experience with creating REST calls with a Node.js library, including Express.js or Axios.

  • Experience with supporting junior and mid-level engineers.

  • Experience with designing new UI features.

  • Experience with unit testing.

  • Knowledge of REST APIs.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen and possess an active TS/SCI Clearance.

  • Some travel may be required with this role.
