Amentum Executive IT Support Specialist in Chantilly, Virginia

This is an on-site role reporting to our Chantilly, VA office. US Citizenship is required to apply.

The Executive IT Support Specialist is the first point of contact for providing support to the executive staff and monitoring onsite headquarters operations. The position is responsible for problem determination, incident recording, problem resolution, and escalation per corporate policies and procedures. The successful candidate will have exceptional interpersonal skills and will possess enhanced technical knowledge in the fields of Microsoft Windows, video teleconferencing capabilities, and mobile device management.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Deliver world class IT support to executives and their administrators and the supporting staff.

  • Demonstrate Amentum’s core values, has a can-do philosophy, and ensure problem ownership and promoting end user satisfaction.

  • Proactively engage with executives and management to determine the IT needs for meetings, projects, etc.

  • Independently resolve complex, break/fix issues in person or remote.

  • Setup and monitor high-priority executive meetings utilizing collaboration and audio-visual services.

  • Demonstrate enhanced knowledge of Microsoft products, including Windows 10/11, Office 365, and Active Directory.

  • Receive and respond to incoming incidents and support requests in a timely manner.

  • Collaborate with team members on current issues and resolutions.

  • Prioritize a variety of tasks, based on current environment needs.

  • Write and maintain reports to update management of relevant information. Keeps first line management up to status on a regular basis.

  • Engage other departments within Amentum to ensure active and timely problem resolution and customer satisfaction.

  • Present the facts transparently to promote collaborative solutions.

Experience & Education

  • College degree strongly preferred or high school diploma plus some advanced training

  • Current certification in at least one of the following areas preferred:

  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MSCA), preferably in Microsoft’s current Desktop Operating System

  • ITIL

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of Service Desk experience

  • US Citizenship is required

Physical Requirements/Working Environment

  • Normal office environment

  • May be assigned to first, second, or third shift work schedule
