Edwards’ groundbreaking work in transcatheter aortic heart valve replacement (TAVR) pioneered an innovative, life-changing solution for patients by offering heart valve replacement without the need for open heart surgery. Our Transcatheter Heart Valve (THV) business unit continues to partner with cardiologists and clinical teams to transform patient care with devices supported by clinical evidence. This role is to enable successful transcatheter heart valve procedures, develop and implement field training processes to maximize THV clinical acumen focusing on training of the Edwards THV Field Teams across the APAC region on clinical case support and THV device preparation.

How you will make an impact:

  • Develop the strategy for the effective launch, management and execution of field training processes, related trainings and projects intended to maximize clinical field team clinical acumen and effectiveness.

  • Develop training content and programs (e.g., virtual training, in-person courses, region-level calls) for training programs that support the strategy, working in collaboration with cross-functional teams (e.g., Marketing, Professional Education and Medical Affairs) to meet the changing needs and priorities of the organization.

  • Support the new hire field training program, including providing coaching and mentoring.

  • In-person assessments of clinical field teams’ knowledge, capabilities, and skills.

  • Act as a member of the Advanced Imaging Support team delivering high quality CT reports.

  • Act as Subject Matter Expert in use and training on THV simulator (i.e. CAE Simulator).

  • Observe cases to maintain knowledge of technical matters related to therapies/products and procedures.

  • Review and analyse regional Procedural Success Rate to maintain >99% success delivery. Adapt training as required.

  • Other incidental duties.

What you'll need (Required):

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field with 8 years of previous related experience working in healthcare industry, sales, or marketing.

  • Prior experience in radiology or cardiology.

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

  • Other languages are a plus.

  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Windows environment (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Must be self-motivated, goal-oriented with high level of energy.

  • Manages ambiguity and can work highly independent.

  • Should be willing to travel (50%+).

  • Must be dependable and willing to work untraditional hours as periodically required.

  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment.

  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication as well as strong follow-up skills.

  • Excellent documentation skills, detail-oriented, rigorous, and work well with other internal functional groups.

  • Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control.

Location:

This position will be located in the APAC region and will report to APAC THV Professional Education Manager.
