Egan Company Controls Engineer (Process Controls & Manufacturing Team) in Champlin, Minnesota

Overview: Egan Company is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Controls Engineer located in Champlin, MN. In this exciting role within our Process & Manufacturing Controls team, you will be designing, programming, and servicing automated controls systems for a variety of industrial clients. * This is a Hybrid role, with the option of working in the office and/or at home * Responsibilities: Design and program a variety of industrial process control systems that integrate new and existing hardware and software. Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair customers' control systems as required. Programming of PLCs, HMIs, Servos, and VFDs. Understand UL 508A control panel construction and design requirements. Support sales by meeting with customers about project opportunities and providing estimates of hardware costs and development time. Position Requirements: Bachelor of Engineering degree or equivalent design and programming experience. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with Google Suite - including Gmail, Sheets, Docs, and Drive. Qualifications: A minimum of 5-7 years' experience in related fields and successful demonstration of key responsibilities as described. Expertise with Rockwell PLC and FactoryTalk HMI platforms is highly preferred. Familiarity with other platforms such as Siemens, Wonderware, and Ignition is beneficial. Ability to work within a dynamic team environment and with a variety of customers. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Working Conditions: Performance of duties will be in the office or jobsites. Deployment to Greater Twin Cities Metro jobsites may be up to 100% of the time. Travel may be required up to 10%.
