Job Description Summary

This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and leading the overall global commodity strategy for Mechanical parts and Raw material across GE Power Conversion representing a spend of $125M+.This role will require coordination with the P&L Sourcing teams to ensure a cohesive global strategy, coordinating sourcing efforts and policy, and executing initiatives.

Partnerships with GE functional stakeholders in Business and Segment Sourcing, Operations, Supply Chain, and other functions to drive business outcomes in the priorities of Safety/Compliance/Diversity/Sustainability, Quality, Delivery and Cost and enable the team to deliver excellent service levels to the organization.

Job Description

English :

Essential Responsibilities

  • Partner with all GE Power Conversion sites and lead the development & execution of global sourcing strategies for the Mechanical Parts & Raw Material Commodity.

  • Leverage broader GE Electrification and other GE Vernova businesses.

  • Develop technical and market expertise.

  • Drive the supplier diversity and sustainability priorities aligned with global strategy, by aiming risk mitigation and competitiveness. Lead the evaluation and selection of new suppliers, development of existing suppliers, and overall supplier management.

  • Be responsible for delivering improvements to key sourcing metrics to include Quality Performance (NCRs & CoF reduction), Fulfillment (OTD & Lead Time), and Cost (Deflation, Product Cost Out, Cash/Net Pay Terms).

  • Identify and Implement Cost Reduction Initiatives resulting in increased competitiveness.

  • Develop negotiations strategies and drive negotiations to achieve stated goals and objectives in accordance with the strategy, drive supplier selection, development, and overall supplier management.

  • Be an active partner with the supply chain to develop optimal make vs. buy strategies to optimize Quality, Fulfillment and Total Landed Cost for the commodity.

  • Drive Sourcing initiatives including growing shared supplier spend, best cost country (BCC), productivity, rationalization of supply base, sole source reduction, cycle reduction, on time delivery and quality improvements, lean & pull production, and cash flow improvement.

  • Interface with Site Sourcing Teams and functional owners to understand their priorities and to determine appropriate commodity growth strategies.

  • Develop complex, global, and comprehensive supplier / buyer contractual and strategic relationships.

  • Put in place and Manage supplier contracts / supply agreements.

  • Understand business compliance requirements and drive opportunities to eliminate compliance risk as well as driving initiatives to remediate concerns.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Operations, or related; MBA or Master’s preferred.

  • Has worked in leadership roles within a complex, global matrixed managed multi-site organization.

  • Strong experience within the Mechanical Parts / Raw Materials Commodity Management.

  • Demonstrated business orientation and Inspirational leadership with collaborative mindset in working across multiple business units and cultures.

  • Has Extensive experience interfacing with strategic suppliers and managing relationships.

  • Proven track record in leading a commodity to a new level of performance.

  • Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills.

  • Proactive self-starter and change agent.

  • Cross functional, matrixed, and international team experience.

  • Outstanding negotiations skills – getting to win/win agreements.

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Ability and willingness to travel as required.

Dans ce rôle, vous devrez :

  • Travailler avec l’ensemble des sites GE Power Conversion et être le garant du développement ainsi que déploiement de stratégies achats pour les pièces mécaniques (usinées, forgées ou moulées) ainsi que pour les matières premières.

  • Maximiser les synergies au sein de GE Vernova.

  • Développer une expertise (marché, technique, …) pour votre portefeuille achats.

  • Préparer et mener les négociations avec les fournisseurs globaux et/ou stratégiques, tout en répondant aux exigences de coûts, de capacité et de qualité.

  • Introduire de nouveaux fournisseurs, développer des sources alternatives, afin de réduire nos risques de dépendance à de sources uniques ou exclusives.

  • Être garant de l'évaluation et de la sélection de nouveaux fournisseurs, le développement des fournisseurs existants et la gestion globale des fournisseurs

  • Collaborer avec les autres fonctions (ingénierie, qualité, logistique globale et les équipes régionales) afin de mettre en place des actions visant à réduire nos coûts et/ou optimiser les autres indicateurs achats.

Formation / Expérience

  • Licence d’une université ou d’une écolé accréditée.

  • A minima, 10 ans d’expérience dans les achats stratégiques.

Compétences :

  • Licence d’une école ou d’une université accréditée

  • Certification CPM ou APICS

  • Excellentes aptitudes à la négociation

  • Capacité à évaluer et analyser les coûts

  • Motivation, leadership et capacité d'influence

  • Fortes compétences relationnelles.

  • Expérience en équipe transversale, matricielle et internationale

  • Excellentes compétences de communication écrite et verbale

  • Compétences éprouvées en gestion de projet et en amélioration des processus
