About the Position: This position is located in the Directorate of Industrial Operations, at Letterkenny Army Depot, in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Responsibilities Install, and/or repair a variety of electronic components and electro-mechanical equipment. Perform certified soldering operations in accordance with IPC J-Standards. Integrate complex assemblies/sub-assemblies which perform complete electronic functions, to reach a common objective. Operate electronic test instruments. Troubleshoot both mechanical and electronic malfunctions to determine cause of failure and extent of repairs required. Interpret technical manuals that cover procedures and accepted trade practices. Continuously handles objects weighing from 10 to 40 pounds. WORKING CONDITIONS Works in well-lighted, heated, and ventilated shop areas or missile sites where occasionally there is inclement weather. Subject to cuts, bruises, falls, and broken bones, and shock or burns caused by high voltage energy and soldering irons.
