Nature of Work

Analyzes performance and instructs student athletes in game strategies and techniques to prepare them for athletic competition. Recruit student athletes. Observes players while they perform to determine need for individual or team improvement. Coach players individually or in groups, demonstrating techniques

Examples of Work Performed

Assist with coaching for the Mens Basketball program Provide basketball instruction and development for student athletes. Knowledge of and compliance with all rules and changes that occur in the sport of basketball includingNCAArules and regulations Assist with camps, game, and tournament organization and supervision Assist with recruiting for the Mens Basketball program Coordinate Chadron State College campus visits for athletes Knowledge of, and compliance with,NCAArules and regulations concerning recruiting and eligibility Coordinate team laundry

Secondary Duties: Check study halls and classes for athletes participation Assist with game operations for all home volleyball games Assist with athletic team and department fundraising initiatives Related duties as assigned by supervisor

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree plus coaching experience. Must have knowledge ofNCAArules and regulations.

Previous experience coaching basketball
