Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners. They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage. Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, global savvy, and project and product lifecycle management) and ensure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree or higher in Engineering or related field, Master degree in related field is a plus.

• At least 2-4 years of experience in purchasing / procurement area.

• Experience in Automotive Industry is advantageous.

• Experience with SAP preferable.

• Good in English both written and spoken.

• High level of professional integrity and ethics.

• High competent in using MS Office suite of application.

• Good problem solving and cost analysis skills.

• Strong management skill of priority and independent of working style.

• Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.

• Strong team player and the willingness to share best practices

• Initiatives / creative thinking.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY:

• The main responsibility is to manage assigned commodities and ensuring smooth supply chain with optimal total acquisition cost in terms of price, quality and delivery performances.

• Support Indirect procurement buyers for unblocking PR and negotiation

• Make sure price adjustment approval package is done before update info record in SAP.

• Manage price request for approval and maintain pricing of the assigned commodities in SAP.

• To drive cost reduction programs for the assigned commodities/suppliers.

• Support new supplier register processes but minimized unnecessary suppliers registered in system.

• Perform work efficiently and effectively in supporting other functional departments.

• Provide support the global or regional procurement initiatives of the assigned commodities.

• Supplier contract management and ensure PR/PO process compliance to TE policies.

• Analyze monthly reports and managing purchase price variance/ ATF/Open purchasing order/Split order.

• Handle supplier negotiate price, payment term, shipment term and T&C in contracts where applicable.

• Support TE company in terms of in/out-sourcing of tooling where applicable.

• Support company-wide programs such as TEOA/EHS/Internal Audit etc.
