OEC Group Ocean Import Traffic Coordinator in Cerritos, California

As an Ocean Import Traffic Coordinator, you would be primarily responsible for tracking, tracing, and updating containers and shipments. You will be a partner in our Ocean Import department developing and maintaining good relationships with carriers, truckers, customers, and warehouses.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 years’ experience in the freight forwarding industry is required; preferably in an ocean operations role.

  • Previous experience using the ERP system, CargoWise One, is preferred.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.

  • Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

    Responsibilities:

  • Track, trace, and update ocean import containers/shipments in CargoWise One, coordinating with internal and external partners as needed. 

  • Schedule truckers to pick up or deliver ocean containers according to customer instruction in a timely manner.

  • Communicate with vendors regarding payment disputes and service requirements.

  • Communicate with internal partners including interdepartmental teams, branch offices, and oversea offices for container delivery status.

  • Confidently handle issues such as re-scheduling of delivery status, terminal congestion, receiving and resolving warehouse unloading issues.

    Salary:

  • $22-$28/hour dependent on transferable experience and education level.
