Job Description: As a Logistics and Distribution Warehouse Administrator at Beckman Coulter Diagnostics South Africa, you will play a pivotal role in managing the efficient and effective operation of our warehouse facility. Reporting to the Logistics and Distribution Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of logistics, inventory management, and distribution within the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

  • Maintain accurate inventory records using our designated inventory management system.

  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.

  • Coordinate with procurement and production teams to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained.

Order Processing and Fulfillment:

  • Receive, process, and prioritize customer orders in a timely manner.

  • Prepare orders for shipment according to established procedures and quality standards.

  • Ensure accurate picking, packing, and labeling of products for distribution.

Shipping and Receiving:

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including arranging transportation and scheduling deliveries.

  • Verify incoming shipments for accuracy and completeness, and report any discrepancies.

  • Prepare shipping documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Warehouse Operations:

  • Oversee day-to-day warehouse activities, including material handling, storage, and organization.

  • Monitor and maintain warehouse equipment and facilities to ensure safety and functionality.

  • Implement and enforce proper inventory control measures to minimize loss and damage.

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Supervise and provide guidance to warehouse personnel, ensuring productivity and adherence to policies.

  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the warehouse team.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments, such as customer service, sales, and quality assurance, to optimize logistics processes and meet customer needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field preferred.

  • Proven experience (3 years) in warehouse operations, logistics, or distribution, preferably in a healthcare or medical device industry.

  • Proficiency in inventory management software/systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Office Suite.

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including the ability to motivate and develop a team.

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in logistics and distribution.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
