Job Description:

Parsons is now hiring for a highly experienced Principal Contract Manager to join our team! In this role you will lead challenging and complex programs consisting of multiple projects for transit agencies in the Washington, DC metro area.

The selected candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of the tools and processes used for effective contract administration and project management. You will ensure completion of projects on schedule and within budget, in accordance with our contractual obligations. You will be the primary Parsons point-of-contact with the client, supervise the Parsons project managers responsible for each project and strengthen our professional relationships with subcontractors. Your knowledge of the client’s goals and objectives will be instrumental in discussing any changes to the scope of work, contracts with key subcontractors, and adherence to regulatory requirements. Key to your success will be your ability to monitor deliverables for adherence to client criteria and manage all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions. This role allows for virtual work basis, but individual needs to live in the general DC Metro Area to be available for office and client meetings as needed.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Managing major transit programs consisting of multiple projects

  • Developing contract management plans

  • Leading a project team of engineering and planning professionals

  • Coordinating with the client's project managers and procurement specialists

  • Overseeing the execution of all projects tasks to ensure adherence to scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements.

  • Developing proposals for new projects and contract extensions.

  • Managing change orders.

  • Reporting on project performance to the client and internally within Parsons

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, finance, planning, engineering or a related field

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification or experience

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • 15+ years of professional contract or project management experience

  • Familiarity with typical public agency procurement and contracting processes

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Experience with the common tools and processes used for project financial management.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification

  • Experience in risk assessment and management.

  • Experience with quality management plans and procedures.

Salary Range:

$126,600.00 - $253,300.00
