Job Description:

Parsons is now hiring for a Network Engineer to support our team at IPKeys Power Partners. This position is focused on configuring, testing, and maintaining carrier-class routing devices within our critical public safety network infrastructure. Domestic travel up to 50% may also be required.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Designing and implementing network architecture to support public safety communication requirements.

  • Configuring and maintaining routers from Cisco, Juniper, and Nokia.

  • Optimizing network performance to ensure reliability and efficiency.

  • Implementing security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and support operational needs.

  • Troubleshooting network issues and providing timely resolution to ensure uninterrupted communication channels.

  • Staying updated on the latest advancements in networking technology and best practices.

  • Traveling to customer locations in support of projects. Up to 50% travel.

What Required Skills/Experience You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent work experience.

  • Previous experience in network engineering, preferably in a public safety or critical infrastructure environment.

  • Proficiency in configuring and managing routers from Cisco, Juniper, and Nokia.

  • Strong understanding of networking protocols, security principles, and best practices.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.

  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Willingness to travel to customer locations to support projects.

What Desired Skills/Experience You'll Bring:

  • Relevant certifications in Nokia, Cisco, or Juniper technologies such as CCNA or JNCIA

  • Preferred experience working with public safety or mission-critical networks.

  • Experience with MPLS networking.

Salary Range:

$61,200.00 - $123,400.00
