Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented HR Compliance Specialist to join our team! As a member of Parsons growing Employee Relations and Compliance team, you will engage in strategies to maintain our affirmative action and federal contractor compliance programs and ensure compliance with federal, provincial (Canada), state and local EEO laws and regulations.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Support affirmative action program development and government reporting, to include auditing AA requirements, data collection and creation of training materials.

  • Collaborate on the creation and review of HR policies to determine prioritization, propose changes to align with industry and Parsons best practices, and federal, provincial (Canada), state and local EEO laws and regulatory requirements.

  • Stay abreast of changes in HR legal/regulatory requirements by conducting research, interpreting, and providing summaries to relevant stakeholders.

  • Handle labor law postings, and communication of required employee notifications to ensure compliance with all employment requirements.

  • Partner with Legal, Compensation, Payroll, HR Analytics other teams as needed, for data reporting requests.

  • In collaboration with the Data Analytics team and other stakeholders, conduct thorough reviews of HR data for accuracy, and provide analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, providing actionable insights to inform decision-making processes.

  • Exercise judgement in determining the significance and relevance of data findings, prioritizing issues for resolution and escalation as necessary.

  • Under leadership direction, produce reports and presentations summarizing key findings and recommendations for HR leadership and stakeholders.

  • Apply critical thinking skills to interpret data and draw meaningful conclusions that contribute to the overall HR and Compliance strategy and objectives.

  • Support the team with various projects & initiatives such as AAP audits, vendor evaluations and federal, provincial (Canada), and state regulation implementation.

  • Maintain a highly diverse and fast-paced workload that may include a variety of tasks, efforts, or projects.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

  • 3-5 years of HR, AA/EEO compliance, employment law or related experience

  • Working knowledge of human resources processes and/or compliance management concepts, including federal, state, and local EEO/AA legislation and regulations.

  • Proficiency in the full Microsoft Office suite, with advanced knowledge of Excel.

  • Demonstrated self-motivation with a strong work initiative and attention to detail.

  • Strong critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • A passion for learning with a wide degree of creativity and curiosity.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Working knowledge of provincial (Canada) human resources processes and/or compliance management concepts and regulations.

  • Demonstrated experience collaborating in a team environment.

  • Experience working in the federal contracting industry.

  • Experience with writing and editing in a business environment.

Salary Range:

$61,200.00 - $123,400.00
