Job Description:

Under the direction of the Indirect Procurement Director EMEA, dotted line with the Global Category Manager (Travel), the Regional Travel Manager - Indirect Procurement performs buying and travel administration tasks of a complex nature requiring substantial experience in supporting both regional and global indirect spending within the scope of Corporate Policies and Procedures. The individual will work out of the EPC headquarters in Prague, Czech Republic.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The Travel Manager will support the Global Category Manager with global meetings and events related sourcing, contract negotiations and strategy execution with primary focus on tasks within EMEA.

  • Lead procurement initiatives and serves as the local and regional gatekeeper ensuring internal clients are leveraging preferred suppliers and programs.

  • Reinforce the culture and compliance set by the Corporate Travel Policy.

  • Support Global Travel Manager with key corporate-wide sourcing initiatives (e.g., development and administration of global Request for Proposals (RFPs).

  • Prepare and issue Requests for Quote (RFQs) or develop reverse auctions to ensure the operating company (OpCo) agreement, category/product/service/specific requirements are properly prepared and follow up to ensure understanding.

  • Reviews quotes, analyzes results, and determine negotiation plans/strategies as well as address any exceptions to specifications, quality notes, price, schedule, and terms & conditions

  • Prepare yearly regional/global Hotel RFP or online e-auctions to validate preferred providers and rates.

  • Concur Travel Global platform specialist and administrator:

  • Coordinate new implementations of the various Company Legal Entities throughout EU and other regions, as required.

  • Profile creation – super user and extensive technical support to help internal customers.

  • Create and conduct training sessions for European and other region associates, as required (including creation of technical sheets and conducting online and video training sessions)

  • Administration of EMEA Travel & Entertainment credit card and air card programs

  • Events coordinator:

  • Search for best available events abroad

  • Create agendas and education program / team building / F&B / meeting rooms

  • Arrange transport for big groups of attendees.

  • Analyze, manage and set up a strategy for the budget spend assigned and achieve the savings goal.

  • Document procurement files including, but not limited to, details of sourcing decision, negotiation strategy, price/cost analyses, performance to budget/target and risk assessment.

  • Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve services

  • Adhere to all local, Country and region regulated standards and Quality Policy

  • Monitor supplier performance to cost, delivery/schedule, quality, technical and programmatic/contractual requirements, and in accordance with company directives.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma

  • 3-5 years overall related experience (procurement, travel agency, etc.)

  • E-commerce RFx and e-auctions experience are a plus.

  • Experience in drafting and reviewing contracts in English.

  • Advanced proficiency with MS Excel, and other Microsoft Office software.

  • Ability to travel within the region is required (up to 30%)

  • Fluent in English
