Arapahoe County Government Facilities Maintenance Supervisor - West Region in Centennial, Colorado
Description Responsible for the operation, maintenance, coordination, and supervision of the Facilities Services operational functions within an assigned region. Performs a variety of supervisory duties to oversee and facilitate the daily operations of the Facility Services team. Duties
Supervision of all Facility Services operations within an assigned region ensuring that all services are effectively delivered and facility needs are met including, but not limited to, life-safety, project management, building repairs, parking lots, grounds, snow removal, HVAC/R preventative maintenance and Day Porter custodial oversight. Supervision of all Facility Services day-to-day processes within an assigned region in a manner consistent to FFM and County policies and procedures while establishing exceptional customer service and positive relationships county-wide. Supervision of all Facility Services staff within an assigned region including, but not limited to, hiring, onboarding, evaluating, training, discipline, promoting and termination. Ensures staff implement and provide superb facility services throughout the County. Supervision of all Facility Services operations associated with the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) within an assigned region. Works collaboratively with FFM Leadership to effectively maintain County assets and utilize resources (staff, funding) efficiently and effectively. Management of all Facility Services budget and all financial components within an assigned region. Expert skills in interpretation of documents involving maintenance instructions, sketches, plans, blueprints, equipment and procedure manuals and safety rules. Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
Expert knowledge of best industry practices, techniques, equipment and materials required to maintain, and repair County facilities and grounds. Working knowledge of Facilities and Fleet Management operations, rules, regulations and procedures. Ability to effectively supervise, train, inspire and evaluate assigned personnel to achieve excellent results. Knowledge and proficiency in the use of personal computer equipment and software such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, Teams and other products as required by position. Ability to develop and work in high performing team environment and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with tact, diplomacy and high ethical standards. Ability to effectively communicate in English language, both verbally and in writing and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to communicate with Commissioners, Directors, FFM Leadership, team members, tenants, and vendors. High School Diploma or GED equivalent At least seven (7) years of relevant experience in facility services or related fields. At least four (4) years of pro ressively responsible supervisory or management experience. Any equivalent combination of education and work experience that satisfy the requirements of the job may be sufficient. Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Facility Management, Project Management, or Business Administration or related field is desired. At least two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in project management.
Supplemental Information Pre-Employment Additional Requirements:
Must successfully pass pre-employment testing which includes an acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR) and background check. Possession of a valid Class "R" Colorado Driver's License or the ability to obtain one within two weeks of appointment. Security clearance required: will require fingerprinting and a Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) background check. Post-Employment Requirements:
Successful completion of bi-annual Colorado Justice Information System (CJIS) training. Position is deemed essential and incumbents must be available for winter storm and other emergency events and available to work on-call on a rotational basis including evenings, holidays and weekends.
