The EHS Coordinator implements and supports the management of the organisation’s EHS strategy and drive continual improvement in EHS performance to achieve current and future business objectives.

Key responsibilities :

  • To manage the Environmental, Health and Safety function

  • In conjunction with ALL site employees, carry out risk assessments, EHS inspections, internal EHS Audits, recommend corrective actions, monitor and report progress against agreed improvements to local management.

  • Ensure that all applicable and internal and external reporting requirements are performed accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Review all site processes/activities at the site to ensure compliance with all applicable governmental, corporate and management company EHS standards.

  • Work to and maintain the safety and environmental management systems where applicable.

  • Maintain all required EHS records in accordance with regulatory and Xylem’s requirements.

  • Ensure that all EHS training is provided to employees in accordance with statutory, Xylem and local requirements.

  • Conduct EHS training and tool box talks including EHS inductions

  • Review and update EHS site policies in line with best practice, regulatory and Xylem standards/requirements.

  • Keep up to date with all applicable EHS legislation.

  • Provide monthly updates on departmental status to management.

  • Support lean initiatives by integrating EHS into the CI approach to business.

  • Ensure that EHS&S data is captured properly and on time on the Xylem Metric database.

  • To manage all contracts for EHS site services including but not limited to Fire fighting equipment’s maintenance, environmental measurements and waste handling.

  • Coordinates and participates as appropriate in the planning and management of building/facility maintenance, repair and projects as appropriate

  • Any other duties commensurate with the role.
