Position : Maintenance Inventory Specialist

General Purpose:

General Purpose: Performs all record keeping for inventory control of parts room, tools, machine components and expenses used by maintenance personnel. Provides day-to-day miscellaneous administrative and component purchasing support to maintenance as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Generates receivers for all incoming parts and verifies quality at time of delivery. Receives in stock and keeps parts room organized.

  • Pairs work orders with the correct part(s) in preparation for the assigned mechanic to retrieve and complete the work order.

  • Performs cycle counts each week in the parts room to verify accuracy of inventory. Counts material, equipment, merchandise, and/or supplies in stock and inputs data into system.

  • Monitors various expenses spent on each piece of equipment.

  • Assists with the maintaining and managing of the Computerized Maintenance Management System to ensure accurate and detailed information is stored and retrievable.

  • Updates and maintains the vendor list.

  • Understands and applies company safety policies, GMPs, and any other applicable regulations and programs.

  • Performs other responsibilities as determined by business needs.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • 2-3 years related experience preferably in a manufacturing setting.

  • 2-3 years CMMS experience

Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Strong customer focus

  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, work independently, and within a team.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and CMMS applications.

  • Reliable and ability to meet deadlines.

  • Detail-orientated, self-directed, computer skills, organized.

  • Team player

  • Proficient 10-key skills

  • Ability to research and resolve order related problems

Licensing and Certification:

  • Technical certifications preferred

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Maintenance department environment

  • Required to sit/stand for periods of time

  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs

Percent Travel:

  • Less than 5%
