    Grant Wood AEA has an Occupational Therapist- Early ACCESS B-3 position to be available for the upcoming 2024-25 school year to start in August.

    Job Summary

    Your work as an Occupational Therapist includes self-care skills, fine and visual motor skills, behavior, accessibility, positioning, vocational skills and social skills.

    Grant Wood AEA OT staff also work with educators to develop strategies, accommodations, and modifications for students receiving general education and special education services. If you value inclusivity, service, integrity, and community, we want you on our team.

    Responsibilities

  • Serves as liaison among AEA, district building(s), families and community and collaborates with various teams to assure positive outcomes for all learners.

  • Models, implements and assesses strategies related to learning, social, emotional and behavioral needs to enhance educational programming for all learners.

  • Interprets assessment/evaluation data to develop and implement appropriate intervention plans to enable students to participate in their educational environment. Reassesses and modifies intervention plans as necessary.

  • Provides consultative, integrative, and direct services identified in the IEP/IFSP to enable students to participate in their educational program.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Licensed in Occupational Therapy by the State of Iowa Department of Public Health.

  • Authorized by IA Board of Educational Examiners.
