M aintenance Manager

PMX Industries is the leading supplier of high quality copper and copper alloys in North America. We are currently hiring for a Maintenance Manager in our Cedar Rapids, IA facility.

Purpose:

The Maintenance Manager provides a high level of leadership in the Management of Maintenance throughout the entire plant, while working in a heavy manufacturing, union environment.

Primary Duties:

  • Provide a high level of leadership in the Management of Maintenance activities.

  • Leading process improvement initiative.

  • Ensuring adherence to company policies and guidelines.

  • Management of maintenance, including associated reporting.

  • Responsible for ensuring adherence to Quality within the organization.

  • Controlling costs.

  • Delivery of service in a timely manner in accordance with established business plans.

  • Responsible for training and development of all levels under control of position.

  • Responsible for management of multiple business units.

  • Providing and maintaining a safe work environment.

  • Building and maintaining a positive work environment.

  • Coordination with other organizations and departments as needed to create a team environment.

  • Ensures that all daily, monthly and annual reports and forecasts are completed in a timely manner.

  • Direct development of departmental business plan.

  • Manage maintenance programs to ensure effectiveness through utilization of current technologies, upgrades and equipment.

  • Analyze records of equipment failures to reduce future downtime.

    Requirements:

  • Associates degree; or 10 years’ related experience in a heavy manufacturing environment and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Metal fabrication industry and/or management experience.

  • Union Supervisory experience strongly preferred.

  • Knowledge of production methods, processes and industrial machines/equipment.

  • Leadership skills to communicate effectively within all levels of operation.

  • Additional experience with PLC’s, drives, gauges, rolling mill controls, data acquisition HMI’s, annealing line controls and instrumentation strongly preferred.

  • Sound communication, organizational and analytical skills with the ability to plan work.

  • Strategic business orientation with strong customer focus.

  • General understanding of PCs and related software (Outlook, Excel, Word).

    Work Environment:

    Frequent time spent in Production Manufacturing environment that may include weather and environmental temperature extremes and high noise levels

    Schedule:

    Day shift position with some evenings and weekends required.

    Salary Range:

    $85,000 - $110,000 Annually
