Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

PMX Industries is the leading supplier of high quality copper and copper alloys in North America. We are currently hiring for an overnight Industrial Maintenance Mechanic in our Cedar Rapids, IA facility.

The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic will perform a wide variety of mechanical maintenance inspections, including: troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical or electro-mechanical systems throughout our heavy manufacturing union facility.

This is a 12 hour rotating night shift position working 7:00 pm - 7:00 am.

Responsibilities/Requirements:

  • Requires a range of experience or specific experience with industrial equipment troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, assembly, and disassembly.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Working knowledge of Hydraulic systems; welding and metal fabrication.

  • Knowledge of rigging and material handling equipment.

  • Industrial maintenance experience required.

  • Additional trade school, military, machine shop, and certified welder experience a plus.

  • Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts on nights and weekends, holidays, and also work overtime as required by production needs.

    Pay/ Schedule:

  • Starting pay range between $29.46 - $31.61 per hour with an additional $.70 shift differential.

  • This is a 12 hour rotating night shift position working 7:00 pm - 7:00 am with a base schedule of 36 hours one week, and 48 hours the next.
