ARA Diagnostic Imaging Breast Imaging Liaison in Cedar Park, Texas

ARA Diagnostic Imaging is seeking an experienced Breast Imaging Liaison to join our growing team!

Summary :

Provides healthcare support services that include, QA of diagnostic exams, reviewing paperwork, dressing patients, escorting patients, assisting Technologists and other duties that relate to patient care, treatment and radiologic procedures.

Essential Functions:

  • Performs QA for all Diagnostic mammograms scheduled for the following week.

  • Calls referring M.D to obtain orders for exams as needed.

  • Calls to change appointments and reschedule patients as needed.

  • Ensures all paperwork is accurate for the Technologists and Radiologist before patient is taken back for exam.

  • Escorts patients to dressing rooms and assists with their needs in preparation for procedures.

  • Interviews and records patient’s history as needed.

  • Monitors wait times for patients and alerts managers and radiologists when wait times reach a pre-determined level

  • Performs a variety of office and clerical duties as required.

  • Provides patient assistance as necessary.

  • Assist with maintaining and rotating inventory in clinic.

  • Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

    Education/Experience:

    High School Diploma or GED. One to Two years medical assistant or healthcare experience.

    Skills/Knowledge :

  • Ability to deal efficiently and courteously with all clinical personnel and patients, and to establish effective working relationships

  • Ability to act independently upon information and make decisions that achieve optimal results

  • Ability to assess and identify needs and develop creative strategies

  • Highly motivated with great organizational skills

  • Demonstrates appropriate customer service attitudes and services in a variety of work settings

  • Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, Internet and presentation software

  • Demonstrates a results orientation for delivering appropriate products and services in an accurate, complete and timely fashion

  • Must be skilled in written and verbal communications, requiring the ability to read and write effectively and efficiently

  • Bilingual not required but is preferred

    Working conditions : Moderate amount of kneeling, reaching, and stooping. Constant amount of walking, standing, and sitting. Ability to assist patients, up to 650 pounds, from sitting, standing, and lying positions with the use of proper lifting methods (i.e. assistance of other personnel, use of provided lifting devices such as Hoyer lift, etc). May be exposed to negligible electromagnetic radiation. Must have the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
