Our Machine Shop team in Cedar Falls, IA, is looking for experienced Machinists who excel in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to use calipers and micrometers and able to read and interpret blueprints. CNC experience is required. Shift premiums and consistent, quarterly wage adjustments apply and benefits after 60 days.

Starting pay would be $28.22-$29.39, Depending on job placement.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Work across the manufacturing processes to produce pumps with attention to quality and safety.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Specific job assignments may vary depending on position availability. Qualified applicants may work across any of the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate any/all of the following: Manual Lathe, Manual Mill, NC Lathe, NC Mill, Machine Cells, or miscellaneous equipment that falls under our Machining processes.

  • Execute operational details from drawings, routing sheets, set up sheets, and CNC programs.

  • Check the condition of tooling/performance for best results.

  • Follow the documented safety guidelines and procedures.

  • Adhere to quality expectations.

  • Must be able to work mandatory overtime as needed.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

  • Minimum 2 years with CNC machining (metal products) or equivalent 2 years technical college education.

OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to use gages and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.

  • Ability to read blueprints.

  • Properly align, secure and remove part fixtures, attachments and materials onto machines.

  • Check machined parts to print with designated measuring devices such as micrometers, CMM, manual/digital calipers, plug gauges, indicators, or equivalent tools.

WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to move within office and manufacturing complex, write by hand and keyboard.

  • Ability to communicate by speech and hearing via phone and in person.

  • Visual acuity needed for close detail work and computer use.

  • General manufacturing, warehouse and office environment.

  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds on a regular basis and up to 70 pounds on a periodic basis.
