Ide Machine Co., Inc. Machinist Trainee in Cayuga, New York

Machinist Trainee Responsible to learn set up and operation of all shop equipment. This job will be a traineeship leading to eventually work independently with minimal assistance and or supervision.

The Trainee will learn established methods and procedures of experienced Journey Level Machinists as well as learn the required tooling needed for the production of assigned tasks.

The Trainee will learn part quality and production levels.

Duties: Learn under guidance of an experienced Machinist how to set up lathes, mills, drills, cut off saw, cranes, and material handling equipment. Strictly adhere to IMC established Quality Assurance Program. Daily lubrication of machines. Maintain work area in clean and orderly fashion. Learn and become proficient reading blue prints. Candidate must pass a reference/security check, and an employment test. Willing to work overtime hours as necessary.

This position is eligible for Paid Time Off. Starting pay is between $15.00 and $17.00 per hour depending on experience.
