Description

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides support and skills training to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a residential setting and within the community.

9W Apartments are located in Catskill. Four very active men and one young lady live at 9W Apartments. They are all very independent and quite involved in many local activities within their community. The cohesive team of DSP’s are upbeat and positive, and they always strive to motivate, influence, and enrich the lives of the people at 9W as they pursue their goals and ambitions.

A high school diploma or GED is desired. Post-high-school education in Human Services is a definite plus. An acceptable NYS driver's license and basic computer knowledge are a must. An informative, paid new hire orientation is provided in a comfortable learning environment. Training will also include Van Certification, SCIP, First Aid/CPR, and Medication Administration certification.

HOURS: On-Call/as needed

STARTING SALARY: $ 17.51 to $ 19.27 per hour, with additional shift differentials as applicable

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred

  • Acceptable NYS Driver's License

  • Computer skills
