Edw C Levy Co Roller Operator - Castle Rock in Castle Rock, Colorado

Schmidt Construction, part of the Edw. C. Levy Group of Companies is seeking Roller Operators to work at our Castle Rock, CO location . The Roller Operator is a function of the asphalt paving process and is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient distribution and compaction of cooling asphalt to achieve a smooth, finished surface.

Pay: $25-30 Shift: 7am-5pm Nights and Weekends

Responsibilities The Roller Operator will: Be responsible for the safe and efficient operator of the asphalt roller Achieve asphalt compaction Maintain roller pattern once established unless it needs modified to achieve specified densities Push and pull hand levers on move machine Keep roller clean Check and adjust oil levels Fill water tank

Skills The ideal candidate will have:

Knowledge of roller patterns Knowledge of densities and temperatures A team and safety oriented mentality Ability to lift up to 50lbs Ability to identify mechanical malfunctions Knowledge of bulk materials Good verbal and written communication skills. Willingness to perform other duties as assigned. High school diploma or equivalent Follow all company safety procedures
