Position Summary

Performsanycombinationoftheessentialdutiesandresponsibilitiesofmarinaconstructionandfloating dock installation while on project site. Successful candidates will be required to complete a pre-employment drug screen and may be subject to a background check and randomdrugscreeningperourDrugFreeWorkplace policy.Dependability for work schedule is crucial. This position is mainly travel-based, employee must be comfortable with frequent travel to job sites including out-of-state travel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performsconstructionof marinasby installingfloatingdocks in thewaterat the job site per direction of Crew Lead and/or Site Manager;
  • Operatesequipmentandmachineryinaknowledgeable,safe,andeffectivemanner;
  • Followsandapplies safetyrulesandtechniques;
  • Reportsanyproblems withconstructionduties tosupervisor;
  • Ability to travel and stay at jobsite for prolonged periods of time,
  • Mayoperateforklift totransportfloats; placesandaligns floatsintocorrect orderandposition, per direction of Crew Lead and/or Site Manager;
  • Useshardware,suchasbolts, washers,rods,lumber, andusesnecessary handtools;
  • Positionsandfastens allrequiredhardware andmaterialsontofloatsusingwrenches,rubber mallets, and other appropriate tools, ensuring floats are assembled correctly; and
  • Self-Motivator, ability to keep active, or search for direction towards completion of work.
  • Performsotherduties asassigned.

Compensation:

BMI offers a competitive wage and benefits package; wages start at $17.00 / hour and are dependent upon experience. Employee may receive per diems and/or Prevailing Wage rates of pay based on work location.
