Planate Management Group LLC Registered Electrical Engineer in Castillejos, Philippines

Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.

The electrical engineer will oversee and assist with all activities on all facets of the shipyard's electrical work. He will supervise the team's preparation of assessment reports, and ensure timely submission based on the onsite evaluation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs design work for new building, renovations, and shipyard improvements.

  • Interprets and modifies established methods and procedures to provide design calculations, layouts, drawings, and specifications that meet project objectives and requirements.

  • Responsible for selected construction inspections, quality control, and submittal assessments

  • Responsible for cost estimates and time schedules, as well as technical specifications

  • Examines and evaluates preliminary and final designs, plans, and specifications for technical efficiency and suitability.

  • Conduct careful calculations to develop standards and specifications

  • Inspect installations and monitor operations to ensure compliance with design, equipment, and safety standards.

  • Use computer-aided engineering software (AutoCAD, coordination studies, and load analysis) to accomplish engineering duties as allocated.

  • Assist the contract management and planning divisions with scope, programming, and schedule definitions.

  • Keep up with the newest advances in electrical engineering

  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position.

Qualifications to be successful in the role:

  • Has a degree in electrical engineering

  • Must be a licensed electrical engineer

  • Minimum of 8 years of facilities and management

  • Experienced in handling mid to high-voltage and doing onsite electrical assessments

  • Proficient in AutoCAD and other Microsoft Office applications

  • Effective communication skills, both vocal and written

  • Has an innovative approach to use new technologies and exceptional problem-solving ability.

  • Willing to work in Subic, Zambales
