Cashmere Valley Bank Equipment Finance Manager Department: Financial Services Job Status: Full Time FLSA Status: Exempt Reports To: SVP of Indirect Lending Grade/Level: Amount of Travel Required: Occasional Job Type: Regular Positions Supervised: Credit Analyst, Collector, Sales Work Schedule: Representative Available to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm with overtime as necessary. POSITION SUMMARY Manages and supervises all phases of the equipment financing operations including management of related personnel while being responsible for the department's overall success. This position reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Indirect Lending and will direct the origination and underwriting efforts according to the bank's strategic initiatives. As a member of the bank's Indirect Leadership Team, participate in strategy development, tactical implementation and the review and reporting of business results. Essential Functions Statement(s) * Knowledgeable of all functions performed by and all products and services offered by the Equipment Finance department. * Maintain an appropriate balance between originations and credit risk through active engagement in underwriting and due diligence. * Establish and implement operational and underwriting procedures in conjunction with the SVP of Indirect Lending while conferring with the Operations Manager of Indirect Lending for guidance and reference. * Supervise the underwriting efforts and activities of Credit Analysts to ensure adherence to lending standards of control and compliance to policies and procedures. * Supervise and direct the collection efforts of Collectors to ensure favorable delinquency and loss ratios. * Oversee new and existing originator relationships while directing the business development efforts of sales representatives. * Maintain market awareness to ensure program offerings are competitive among clients and originators (brokers, dealerships, and vendors). * Act as an administrator of the department's Loan/Lease Origination System. Work with system providers to utilize applications to fullest capacity, streamlining processes and procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Analyze, prepare, train for periodic updates to system software and verify that enhancements are working correctly. * Interview, select, train and evaluate employees; promote and terminate employees when appropriate. Discuss job performance concerns with employees to identify causes and work on resolving issues. Evaluate employees' job performance and conformance to regulations and recommend appropriate corrective action. * Provide employees with guidance in handling difficult or complex problems or in resolving escalated complaints or disputes with both customers and coworkers. * Enforce safety, health and security policies and procedures. * Back up credit analysts and collectors as needed. * Attend monthly meeting and training sessions. * Adhere to all policies, procedures and regulatory compliance requirements for Cashmere Valley Bank. * Regular attendance is essential. * Model and uphold the Mission Statement of Cashmere Valley Bank. * Other duties as assigned.
