Salary: $20 - 23/hr

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: 6-10's

Job Overview: The position of Utility Craftsman will have experience performing a variety of tasks including but not limited to a variety of manual labor functions and hydro-testing pipelines and/or pressure vessels to ensure safety standards. Reports on the results of on-site inspections of projects to evaluate progress, compliance with plans, and quality of construction.

Job Functions:

  • Performs bolt ups and torquing procedures (specs and patterns)

  • Installation of valves which includes determining sizes and schedules

  • Prepares for Hydro-testing of pipelines and/or pressure vessels

  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, work orders, and welding procedures

  • Moves work pieces, tools, and supplies manually by hand and/or truck (50 lbs max per person)

  • Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years welder helper or similar construction experience

  • Must posses a driver's license

  • Must posses reliable transportation

  • Ability to communicate and understand verbal and written instructions in English.

  • Basic math and measurement skills (E.g., addition, subtraction, diameters).

  • Knowledge of the following: Flanges, gaskets, pipe threading, and some understanding of hot work.

  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including rugged terrain and construction sites.
