Kohler Co. Electrical Maintenance Technician in Casa Grande, Arizona

Location: Casa Grande, AZ

Opportunity:

We are growing! Kohler has begun construction on a new 1 million-square-foot manufacturing facility on 200 acres in the industrial corridor of Casa Grande, AZ. We are looking for passionate talent to join our manufacturing operations team. This role will work fully onsite. Some travel, for training purposes, may be required during the construction and start-up phases of the facility.

What We’re Looking For:

The Electrical Maintenance Technician works on a team of associates, headed by a Maintenance Supervisor, to troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and recondition machinery, mechanical, and/or electrical equipment. The Maintenance team also conducts maintenance and repair activities for the facility, including but not limited to building, grounds, lighting, plumbing, HVAC, etc. You will be an ideal candidate if you are an experienced Maintenance professional and are willing to learn and adapt to new and changing processes and environments.

Your Job Duties:

  • Perform general maintenance and work on all machines and equipment

  • Provide electrical/electronic and mechanical diagnostics

  • Perform repairs to process machinery, equipment, and controls within assigned work area

  • Perform all required preventative and predictive maintenance procedures on process machinery and equipment within assigned work areas

  • Proficiently utilize a wide variety of tools and instrumentation including, but not limited to, voltage tester, ammeter, megger, oscilloscope, hand tools, power tools, personal computers, vibration analyzers, and laser measurement equipment

  • Assist in resolving maintenance-related process problems which may require the proficient operation of that equipment

  • Maintain technical competence in advancing technology via frequent training courses, on-the-job training, and vendor programs

What You’ll Need to Bring to the Table:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • High school diploma/GED equivalent required

  • Previous experience with the installation, frequency, drive, and troubleshooting of electrical systems

  • A strong work ethic that includes the ability to work 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts while sitting, standing, bending, twisting, and lifting

  • Ability to communicate effectively for manufacturing production processes

  • Physical ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation

  • Ability to follow all safety policies and procedures

  • A willingness to help with activities that may be outside of your job scope, especially as plant operations transition from the construction/set-up phase to the final “go-live” phase

  • The flexibility to change shifts as the plant moves into future phases of production and operability

  • Employment will be subject to a drug screen and background check

  • Employment will be subject to a demonstrated maintenance competency via a standardized knowledge check

It’s a Bonus if You Also Have:

  • An associate degree in Electro-Mechanical technology or similar field of study

  • Previous experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment

  • A natural ability for problem-solving and continuous improvement in the areas of safety, quality, and productivity
