Robert Half Staff Accountant in Cary, North Carolina

Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Cary, North Carolina. This role is instrumental in maintaining financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. The Staff Accountant will work closely with our financial team to create and analyze financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance, process accounts payable and receivable and manage invoices and tax payments.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Conduct regular Bank Reconciliations to ensure accuracy

• Maintain the General Ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness

• Prepare Journal Entries and perform Month End Close activities

• Utilize various financial systems including NetSuite

• Maintain financial security by following internal controls

• Prepare payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements

• Answer accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations

• Comply with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions

• Prepare special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends

Requirements • Possessing comprehensive knowledge of Telecom Services industry

• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes

• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Proficiency in managing General Ledger

• Demonstrating ability to prepare and record Journal Entries

• Familiarity with the Month End Close process

• Proficient in using NetSuite and Oracle

• Experience in QuickBooks and SAP

• Holding a relevant degree or equivalent work experience as a Staff Accountant

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly

• Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
