About the job

We're searching for a talented and passionate Associate Instructional Designer to join our passionate team and build world-class learning experiences for our diverse user base. You'll work closely with subject matter experts, product developers, and other stakeholders to design, develop, and deliver engaging and effective training programs that enable users to master our SaaS platform and achieve their goals.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Develop and organize training materials, for necessary products or processes to deliver in a live or recorded classroom environment for varying audiences and skill levels

  • Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer

  • Provide quality analysis and proofreading/editing on completed deliverables

  • Assist with the coordination of course assets, project deliverables, meetings, and other information required to deliver training materials on time and on budget

  • Work in multiple systems and technologies (such as the LMS and third-party tools) to prototype, create, and refine course materials.

  • Learn new technologies and apply them to online learning.

  • Use creativity, imagination, and emerging instructional technologies to bring fresh ideas to the design of robust and engaging training experiences

  • Identify workforce performance gaps and recommend the most appropriate solution

  • Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts

  • Develop training plans with milestones, deliverables and timelines

  • Conduct and analyze course evaluations to judge effectiveness of training sessions and implement improvements

The pay range for this position is $48,650 - $83,400 and the annual incentive target is 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.

What You Need to Have:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 1+ year Teaching and/or training experience

  • Experience with lesson and curriculum planning and development

  • Proven ability to take on challenging clients and projects with ease resulting in superb client experiences

  • Ability to plan and execute initiatives while following set timelines

  • Ability to understand complex technical ideas and communicate them interactively and visually to varying audiences.

  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships by listening and identifying needs

  • Excellent communication skills, with comfort in speaking to groups while maintaining high energy and a creative, innovative disposition

What Makes you Stand Out:

  • Degree in Education or Instructional Design

  • Experience training adult learners in a business setting.

  • Full cycle project management experience

  • Familiarity with Brightly Software products

  • Understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theories (ADDIE model, Bloom's Taxonomy, etc.).

  • Experience with gamification or microlearning strategies.
