(TMP) is a leading U.S. manufacturer of barges that transport dry and liquid cargoes on inland waterways.TMP manufactures tank barges that carry petroleum and other refined products, chemicals, fertilizer, ethanol, and other liquid cargoes.TMP also manufactures dry cargo barges, including flat-deck and hopper barges that transport a variety of products, such as grain, coal, and aggregates.As an Equipment Technician at Trinity, you'll use blueprints, schematics, small/power tools, and electronic test equipment to perform a variety of maintenance tasks. You'll determine causes of operating problems in areas including, but not limited to, plumbing, electrical systems/components, HVAC, carpentry, electrical fixtures/switches/power sources, and mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.What you'll do: Perform basic preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment such as motors, conveyors, mechanical components, or electrical wiring and electrical components for production equipmentDetermine causes of operating problems, consult schematics and order replacement partsPerform high voltage electrical repairs (e.g. controls, relays)Install and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment, following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications using electrical and electronic test equipmentLay out, build, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify production electronic components, parts, switch panels etc.May test new equipment and troubleshoot operation and make minor adjustments to equipmentMaintain and complete all required recordsFollow all safety rules and practicesMay be involved in safety committees or initiativesPerform other duties as assignedShift Schedule: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday - ThursdayWhat you'll need: Minimum of 1 year of related equipment maintenance and repair experiencePrior experience with industrial mechanicsAbility to read blueprints and schematics and use small/power tools, and electronic test equipment to perform a variety of maintenance tasksBasic troubleshooting/3 Phase/equipment up to 600vMay require working above ground (15 ft or more)Must be able to climb ladders or stairs to reach objects; comfortable with heights.May require working in narrow or confined work spaces for extended periods of timeTasks may require physical strength and dexterityMay require extensive kneeling, bending, walking and/or standing for long periods of timePrevious experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or construction environment is beneficialPrevious experience in shipyard or steel manufacturing industry is a plusVEVRAA Federal ContractorRequest Priority Protected Veteran ReferralsEOE -Veteran /Disabled/Minority/AA/F/M/SO
