Medical Technologist - LAB - Full-Time Evenings/Nights variable $10,000 Sign On Bonus!

Pay Range $37.18-$45.49*

Candidate responsible for the accurate and precise performance of assigned laboratory procedures, and the reporting of same to the proper physician or medical record on a timely basis. Responsible for maintaining the laboratory work place, including equipment and records in good working order; and maintaining a positive image of the laboratory and hospital to the patients, community and co-workers. Assists in researching, testing and briefing in-house new procedures or methodologies. Follows hospital and laboratory policies. Maintains safety regulations and cleanliness standards within section. Assists in training employees. Obtains patient blood from inpatients and outpatients as required. Assists in processing paperwork and filing as required.

Qualifications:

  • As specified by the New York State Department of Health code.

  • MT registry by ASCP or equivalent preferred.

  • Must possess knowledge of age specific needs and growth and development requirements for the infant through geriatric age population served as is relevant to Laboratory procedures.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
