The Erosion Company Construction Crew Leader - Travel Team in Cartersville, Georgia

The Erosion Company is the largest and most experienced contractor in providing comprehensive erosion control services, specialty materials, forestry, and other site clean-up services to clients throughout the Southeast. TEC offers excellent pay based on experience and great long-term career potential for top performers!

The Erosion Company (TEC) is hiring Construction Crew Leaders to be part of its Travel Team. The ideal candidate will travel weekly to job sites throughout Georgia, and the southeast, performing jobs as part of the heavy civil division.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Must be readily available to travel 100% of the work time.

  • Coordinate daily tasks according to scheduled routes.

  • Responsible for monitoring attendance and productivity of a 2-3-person crew.

  • Provide supervision and training to all crew members.

  • Review daily work orders, inspect, and verify that the materials loaded into the vehicle are adequate to complete the daily assignment.

  • Adhere to Company Safety Standards and promote a safety culture among crew members, including adequately using machinery and equipment and resolving problems when they arise.

  • Monitor and report to Area Quality Managers of project details, including progress, risks, and opportunities, promptly.

  • Assist crew members in loading and unloading materials as needed.

  • Assist crew members in removing, filling, compacting, and preparing the terrain.

  • Install silt fencing and erosion control blankets using various hand tools.

  • Perform site clean-up and reload leftover materials after completing the job assignment.

    Required Qualifications:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and three years of verifiable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)

  • Must pass a DOT Physical and Drug Screen.

  • Ability to understand/follow directions and take instructions in English.

  • Physically able to walk, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Work under inclement weather conditions like rain, heat, and cold.

  • Must have prior work experience as a Foreman or Crew Lead.

  • Must have experience operating small machinery such as Bobcat and other excavating equipment.

  • Prior experience driving ½ or ¾ ton trucks, with a 20+ foot trailer attached, fully loaded.

  • Bi-lingual (English / Spanish) is a plus.
