ICF Consulting Group, Inc. Senior Java Developer in Carson City, Nevada

*This role can be 100% remote, sitting anywhere within the US. *

ICF is a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial, multi-faceted consulting company, seeking a Senior Java Developer. This developer will help build web-based applications to support modernizing legacy systems to the Cloud. You will be part of a team supporting the National Center for Biotechnology Information.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Work in an Agile team with clients to develop cloud-based web applications using Java or Kotlin.

  • Migrating legacy applications to cloud-based microservice architecture.

  • Build interactive and responsive web applications with JavaScript frameworks like Angular and React.

  • Design and build for performance and accessibility.

  • What you must have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or other related scientific or technical discipline

  • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.

  • 3+ years of experience with building web applications using Java or Kotlin.

  • 3+ years of experience with SQL using databases such as MySQL or MS SQL Server.

  • Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript.

Technologies you’ll use:

Java, Kotlin, HTML, CSS, Angular, React

What we'd like you to have:

Experience with JavaScript application frameworks such as React JS or Angular.

Experience with the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Knowledge of microservice architecture.

Experience working on projects that are using Agile and DevSecOps including using modern CI/CD pipelines.
