Manager, Production Processing

Position Summary

Under direct leadership, the Manager, Production Processing is responsible for ensuring that Singer’s Classic vehicles receive the donor parts required at the quality and schedule requirements to achieve our annual operating plan. In this role, the manager will lead a team and assemble a cell to improve part availability and visibility from the used parts department through outside processing and to inventory in a manner that demonstrates, “Everything is Important.”

Essential Functions

  • Oversees all aspects of UPD operations with the goal of working effectively and collaboratively to meet monthly disassembly and material availability goals

  • Manages suppliers and internal resources to meet cost, quality, and delivery objectives

  • Manages critical UPD and outside processing suppliers; may negotiate and develop contracts with suppliers, evaluating statements of work, price, reliability, quality, technical support, and availability of goods

  • Identifies part supply constraints that may impact production schedule and create mitigation plans

  • Works in a cross-functional team environment as a strong team player and demonstrate ability to work with other functional groups to achieve company-wide goals

  • Deploys lean engineering, continuous improvement, supply chain, and manufacturing principles to ensure the implementation of efficient manufacturing best practices

  • Creates and maintains a safe and environmentally responsible working environment aligned with regulatory standards and best practices.

  • Models the Singer value of “Everything is Important” and drives our Mission, “A Relentless Pursuit of Excellence”

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Education and/or Experience

  • Manufacturing, Lean, and Quality certifications

  • Knowledge of procurement and operational strategies

  • Proven ability to onboard and contract pricing agreements with suppliers

Preferred Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields required

  • P&L and/or Budget development and ownership

Skills/Abilities and Attributes

  • Strong leadership, organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Hands-on, roll up the sleeves, agile and scrappy leader

  • Effective written and verbal communications skills; ability to express ideas clearly and actively listen to others

  • Team oriented, strong ability to cross-functionally multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment and to multiple deadlines

  • Excellent data analytics, presentation and reporting experience, and abilities to generate and present information to the organization including the creation of accurate metrics and narrative describing operating results, root cause analysis for problems, and opportunities for improvement

  • Strong organizational and collaboration skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and efficiently within and across departments

  • Excellent time management with an ability to balance multiple projects and timelines and to meet deadlines

  • Prior leadership experience in a rapidly growing, high-performance, fast-paced team environment

  • Proficient computer skills, including MS office

  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic

Compensation

The starting salary range for this position is between $85,120 - $106,400 per year, plus an annual bonus plan. Actual compensation will be determined by skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
