Job SummaryTo provide the physicians with a quality diagnostic exam performed in an efficient and caring manner.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintains a safe, efficient and timely operation of diagnostic and accessory equipment during scheduled or on-call hours.

Provides assistance in any departmental activities as needed.

Participates actively in QA/PI activities.

Demonstrates the ability to perform patient care functions relevant to the needs and behavior of all age groups.

Remains aware of the physical or emotional needs of the patient and their family.

Assists the physician with the administration of contrast agents.

Operates Meditech, HIS/RIS and PACS computer system.

Attends all mandatory meetings and programs.

Performs other duties as necessary or assigned.

Complies with the Corporate Compliance Policy and all laws, regulations, and Standards of Conduct relating to the position and agrees to report any suspected violations of law or Standards of Conduct.

Complies with all applicable state and federal regulations.

Maintains a safe work environment using safe work practices, utilizing standard precautions and complying with hazardous waste procedures at all times as described in St. Anthony's Safety Manual.

Maintains the confidentiality of patient, resident, employee and organizational information.

QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or ExperienceAssociate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.

Position Requirements, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Successful completion of an accredited program for Radiologic Technology.

Certification from the State of Iowa.

Registration with the ARRT or registry eligible.

BCLS certification.

Language SkillsAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before customers, patients, families and employees of the organization.
