Needing 2 Sewing Machine Operators with potential for growth to Production Leader role. Summary of Position: Sewing experience in a production environment with heavy duty material such as canvas and a strong focus on attention to detail. This position has potential for growth.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Operate or tend sewing machines to join, reinforce, and perform related sewing operations in the\ manufacture of non-garment material to be placed on tires of construction vehicles
  • fold or stretch edges or\ lengths of items while sewing to facilitate forming specified sections
  • cut excess material or thread from\ finished products; hand sew, join, reinforce, or finish parts of articles as needed
  • repair or alter items by\ adding replacement parts or missing stitches
  • examine and measure finished articles to verify\ conformance to standards, using rulers.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to listen, learn and communicate with supervisors and coworkers.
  • Ability to take direction and come back with solid results/solutions.
  • Ability to manage daily tasks and meet hard deadlines.
  • Ability to focus on results.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes or restructure of priorities.
