Description

This position is responsible for assisting in the operation of the Sam's E-Distribution departments on the Information Systems side, maintaining the systems infrastructure.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Other duties may be assigned. A teammate in this position must have the ability to:

  • Supervise a minimum of two non-exempt teammates.
    • Direct and motivate teammates.
    • Communicate company information to teammates.
    • Listen, address and follow-up to teammate concerns, questions and problems.
    • Facilitate communication between leadership team and teammates.
    • Supervise and manage daily work of department teammates.
    • Create and maintain schedules and job assignments of department teammates.
    • Maintain all departmental paperwork.
    • Provide coaching/corrective action, training and development for teammates.
    • Coordinate and evaluate performance reviews while developing and setting teammate goals or objectives.
    • Take corrective action when required with teammate's productivity while measuring the results and status updates of all teammates managed.
  • Coordinate and support security measures to safeguard information against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification or disclosure.
  • Maintain operation of system hardware through monitoring functionality, preventative maintenance, and resolving performance issues.
  • Provide support to internal and external customers by researching data on system and network related issues.
  • Respond to and resolve critical systems issues (system or hardware down); respond and follow up on urgent customer requests.
  • Troubleshoot all system and user issues (hardware and software). This will include independent analysis.
  • Install, monitor, maintain and repair system hardware, software and peripheral equipment, following design or installment specifications, in addition to making design recommendations.
  • Work on special projects.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
A teammate in this position must:

  • Have a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related field.
  • Have minimum 2 years customer service experience.
  • Have minimum 2 years managerial or supervisory experience.
  • Possess proven leadership skills.
  • Have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Have strong time management skills.
  • Have effective communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Be able to work with little or no direct supervision.
  • Be able to function under high stress situations.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Office and warehouse environments.
